The water cycle

The water cycle

Evaporation 1.
Evaporation is a type of vaporization, that occurs on the surface of a liquid as it changes into the gaseous phase before reaching its boiling point. The surrounding gas must not be saturated with the Evaporation.

 Condensation 2
Common examples of condensation are: dew forming on grass in the early morning, eye glasses fogging up when you enter a warm building on a cold winter day, or water drops forming on a glass holding a cold drink on a hot summer day. Condensation occurs when water droplets form due to cooling air.

Precipitation 3.
the action or process of precipitating a substance from a solution rain, snow, sleet, or hail that falls to or condenses on the ground
"these convective processes produce cloud and precipitation

surface runoff 4.
Surface runoff is water, from rain, snowmelt, or other sources, that flows over the land surface, and is a major component of the water cycle. Runoff that occurs on surfaces before reaching a channel is also called overland flow. A land area which produces runoff drain ing to a common point is called a watershed.
